NOTES AND HAPPENINGS
Weekly Prayer Focus: Jesus told his disciples, “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” (John 20:21) Pray that each of us would know that we, too, are sent by Jesus to our neighbors and communities. Pray for boldness in being witnesses for Jesus.
Today is the final day for bringing food or other items for the MYF food drive for Patchwork Pantry. Please put your donations under the foyer table.
The Gift Discernment ballots for congregational approval are in your church mailboxes. Please review the list of names and positions and return the ballots to the foyer box by next Sunday, Aug. 24. Extra proposals and ballots are available on the back table as well. The following positions are still open:

If you placed a bid on the pork at church campout and have not yet paid for it, please get your check to Phil Harder today.
Please take fabric bags to fill for school kits for MCC (available in the foyer) and return completed bags to the church by Aug. 31. List of contents is on the foyer table.
Our annual church business meeting will take place on Sept. 28 at 6:30 pm. If you are chair of a committee or group, please submit your annual report to Barb Hartzler (preferably by email to the church at mcmchurch@juno.com ) or place a written report in the church office mailbox by Sept. 7.

MISSIONS MINUTE
Jamaica Mennonite Church Youth Camp will be held this week at the Maranatha School. Pray that the leaders will effectively minister to the young people so they sense a clear call from God on their lives.
