NOTES AND HAPPENINGS

Weekly Prayer Focus: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled,” said Jesus in Matthew 5:6. Our culture tells us that our purpose and right are to satisfy our many appetites. Pray that we will first and foremost hunger and thirst for God and for God’s will to be done.

We are still in need of an Assistant Adult Sunday School Superintendent to work with Terry Witmer (Superintendent). Talk with David Stoltzfus to explore this further or to suggest nominations.

Weekday Religious Education (WRE) is a ministry to school children in our community. Volunteers are needed at Mtn View Elementary School on Thursdays & Fridays in November, to walk with the children from their school to the Bible classes. Please contact Mary Lou Vrolijk at 432-9763 if you are able to help.

Everyone is invited to a Fall Party at the Brubakers at 6:00 PM on Friday, Oct. 30. Bring finger foods to share + your own hamburgers/hotdogs and buns (a fire & grill will be provided). You may also wish to bring lawn chairs/blankets to sit on. Special Note: You are invited to celebrate the harvest season by bringing non-perishable food items for the West Rockingham Food Pantry.

If you have prayer chain communications and aren’t able to contact Pastor Lee or the church office, both Mary Louise Lehman and Barb Hartzler have the church email list on their home computers and can send out prayer chain items.

Looking Ahead:

Nov. 22   Wedding shower for Holden Byler and Heidi Bowman. Details to follow.
